Peace of Mind
At Christmas dinner the subject of credit card fraud came up. My cousin started
things off by explaining how his card number was stolen and it was used to charge
over $4500. Seconds after another cousin piped up, basically telling the same story
with a higher amount; over $10,000 in fraudulent charges.
What happened next, I could have never predicted.
Almost every single person at a 30 person Christmas get-together stood around in
a circle telling similar stories; only a few did not have a story to share. I was
the last one to speak and the only one there to use a local bank.
My story was the same as everyone else; up until the point where they contacted
their banks. And in most cases; that's where the real problems started. Most everyone
as of Christmas Day still had frozen funds with no solution in sight. Everyone had
spent literally hours on hold, filled out countless forms and took a proverbial
beating from overseas call-center operators.
Everyone was generally disgusted by how they were treated by their respective banks.
Except for me.
Although I'm far from your biggest customer, I'm certainly your biggest fan.
Thanks again for your help.
