Introduction to Bank Compliance |
This training encompasses an in-depth discovery of the many rules and regulations that govern banking. It covers topics such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Act, Fair Lending regulations, Financial Credit Reporting Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Robbery and Bank Security and Sexual and Workplace Harassment. It also covers the Flood Disaster Protection Act, Bank Bribery Act, Bank Protection Act, the Office of Foreign Asset Control, Active Aggressor for Employees, Appraisals: FIRREA and Interagency Guidelines and Information Security and Red Flags. As you can see, banking is a well-regulated industry and knowing how to stay in compliance is a very important part of the knowledge necessary to be a successful banker. |
Introduction to Treasury Management |
This training focuses on understanding the business and individual focused deposit products offered by the bank and the processes and procedures necessary to administer and sell them. This encompasses cash management system demonstrations and training. Other products that are risk based are covered such as electronic payments (ACH and Wires) and Loan Credit Sweeps. Fraud prevention is also trained on to prevent corporate account takeover. |
Introduction to Product Partner Sales |
The bank has relationships with other companies who provide products and services to our customers through referrals. This training covers insurance referrals, merchant credit card referrals, credit card referrals and non-bank financing referrals. |
Sales and Business Development |
Texas Security Bank has a robust and successful business development process. This training is delivered by senior executives of Texas Security Bank. Since the bank’s inception in 2008, TSB has executed a business development process designed to achieve consistent, predictable, and repeatable growth in owner-managed, business banking clients. This process focuses on weekly calling efforts by all business development officers. The course covers the ins and outs of the bank’s business development process and focuses on making you a successful banker. |
Certifications |
Our Relationship Support Officers are encouraged to obtain outside certifications at the banks expense.

In addition to the training outlined above, our Relationship Support Officers are provided a high level of exposure to our top executives and on-the-job training opportunities. Periodic Lunch and Learn training sessions are scheduled using a formal curriculum on topics related to running a business, as well as individual book studies on Leadership Development and Sales. Our RSO’s routinely get training and mentoring and access to our Senior Leadership Team.
