Accomplished Leadership

Our team of experienced bankers know what it's like to start a business and also what it takes to run a business. In addition to decades in banking, the combined business experience of our team ranges from managing a startup software company, starting and operating a mortgage brokerage, taking on a business turnaround situation and successfully navigating to a sale of the company, to working in a family owned grocery business, starting and running a financial consulting firm, and operating a privately owned receivable finance business.  Further, several of our team members grew up with parents who owned and operated their own businesses. These business experiences give our bankers a unique sense for what it takes for our clients to start, operate and grow their companies. We have spent time on the "other side of the banking desk".

Experienced Entrepreneurs

The story of our bank start up is a good example of our own entrepreneurship. Craig Scheef left a successful career as Market President of another bank in order to research and  write the business plan for Texas Security Bank. He gathered a group of 13 other local business people who became the organizers of the bank, and began the process of regulatory approval and capital raise. During a perilous time in the banking industry (2007-2008), Craig led a very successful capital raise and began the process of seeing his idea, for a different kind of business bank, through to fruition by putting in place the people, systems, processes, capital and infrastructure that created the foundation of the bank we offer to you today.
